Caitlin & Rob – Wedding photography Mulder Chapel, NJ
One of the biggest compliments that a wedding photographer can get, is when you have the privilege to photograph the weddings of other family members. I photographed Caitlin’s sister’s wedding a few years back, and it was good to see familiar faces, and new kids! The wedding ceremony was held in Mulder Chapel, NJ. We photographed the family formals and bridal party there, as well as Caitlin and Rob’s romantic portraits.
Caitlin and Rob, congratulations again to the two of you, and best wishes for your future together!
I sent a Q&A set to Caitlin & Rob, and here they are with a few words about their wedding day:
How did you first meet?
We met through a group at our church.
Why did you choose the Mulder Chapel as the venue for your wedding ceremony?
We were looking for a chapel to use for our ceremony, but we were having trouble finding one that wasn’t being used on a Sunday morning. Rob began looking on the internet and stumbled upon Mulder Chapel. We loved the style of the chapel, with the beautiful view and the unique ceiling!
Tell us about your dress, shoes and other accessories!
My dress was from David’s Bridal and was very simple, but I had my seamstress add to it and change the style and I loved how it come out! Jewelry was handmade from sellers on Etsy.
What was your wedding inspiration?
We wanted our wedding details to feel natural and not over the top, so for the base of our centerpieces we used wood slabs. Our colors were dark blue and gray with light pink and white accents, since our wedding was just between summer and fall and we wanted a balance of dark and light. One of our favorite details ended up being the little circles that were part of our centerpieces – I burned our initials inside of a heart on each one.
Which song did you walk down the aisle to? Which songs played for your first dance and parent dances?
Bridal entrance: Clair de Lune
First dance: Unforgettable – Nat King Cole & Natalie Cole
Father-daughter dance: Daddy Dance with Me – Krystal Keith
Mother-son dance: Never Alone – Lady Antebellum
What was your favorite moment during your wedding day?
Our vows
What advice would you give to future brides for their wedding day?
Everybody says the day goes by fast, but you don’t realize how fast until it’s your day! Make sure you enjoy it.
Why did you choose me for your photography?
Our wedding photos were important to us, so we wanted someone whose work we were familiar with. You were my sister’s wedding photographer several years ago and we like how her photos came out!
What’s next on your calendar as a couple?
We have moved to Philadelphia for Rob’s job with the state police. We’re now exploring the area.
