Melissa & Dennis – wedding – The Seasons, NJ
As a wedding photographer there’s a certain unique vantage point that we have over the day – the converging story lines of the day as the bride prepares and the groom prepares, culminating in the ceremony and finally the reception. Seeing the anticipation and excitement on either side – the bride’s and the groom’s, as they get ready.
It’s in these connected moments – such as Dennis showing off Melissa’s wedding gift to him, that the day unfolds. In these photos at the church, you can just see Melissa’s excited reaction during the ceremony.
After the church ceremony, on the way to The Seasons, we had the last vestiges of light still as the sun set. We made a quick detour to a local park to use some of these vivid dusk colors – all the better for dramatic photos of the bride and groom and their bridal party.
The Seasons itself is one of my favorite wedding venues in New Jersey to shoot at – the gardens and the interior make for interesting settings to photograph the bride and groom against – and when you have a couple as photogenic as Melissa and Dennis, the results just look great. All this adds up to a wonderful wedding that it felt a privilege to be a part of, even as just the wedding photographer. Melissa and Dennis, best wishes for the two of you. It was quite something to be have been a part of your special day.
As an experiment, we also created a photo & video fusion clip – an overview of their wedding day.
