Julia & Louis – wedding – The Gables, Beach Haven NJ / Jersey shore
The one part of the wedding day that I enjoy photographing most of all, are the romantic portraits of the bride and groom. I love working with a bride and groom to get photos of the two of them that captures some of their personalities and the chemistry between them. With this, I really love the photo of Julia and Louis at the top – romantic and sensual. And why can’t wedding day portraits be sexy? And yes, Louis, the groom does look like Clark Kent. Julia says he is told that all the time.
Julia and Louis’ wedding was a fairly intimate wedding, with just their closest friends and family attending and celebrating. The ceremony and reception was held at The Gables, in Beachhaven – a beautiful historic venue. For the photos with the bridal party, we went to the beach – and yes, they were this unstoppably energetic.
Everything came together wonderfully on their wedding day … and with a photogenic bride and groom, I am really proud of the images from this wedding. Julia and Louis, thank you, it was a real treat to work with you. Best wishes for your future together.

Have you used only on -camera flash in the indoor images?
I used on-camera bounce flash for the reception. The portraits were all done with off-camera flash, but some of the romantic portraits of the bride & groom were shot with video light.
