Sydney & Paul’s wedding – Sackets Harbor, NY
Interesting story – Sydney and Paul met at a wedding of their mutual friends, Alli and Colin, when they were paired up as bridesmaid and groomsman. Apparently, there was immediate chemistry between them. A few years later, here we are, on their wedding day in picturesque Sackets Harbor. The style was eclectic – Sydney’s dress had a distinctive vintage look to it; there were vintage cars … and, oh, just an overall laid-back easy feel to everything.
This was one of those weddings where it truly felt like a privilege to know the couple and be their wedding photographer. The images here are a glimpse of that magical day. (The photo-video fusion clip is coming soon, so do check back!)
With the sun going down over Lake Ontario, Sydney and Paul slipped away from the wedding reception for a while …
PsychoKiller, Qu’est Que C’est … Paul and his band took the stage for a few songs towards the end of the evening.
The final moment of the wedding day was something quite surreal and cinematic. Guests wrote words of well-wishes on paper lanterns, which were then lit up and sent aloft. It was an incredible sight to see the series of paper lanterns gently floating away in the night sky. Just incredible, and perfectly fitting.
