Melissa & Albert’s wedding at Skylands Manor, NJ

Melissa and Albert’s wedding reception was held at one of my favourite places – The Castle at Skylands Manor, which is set amidst luscious grounds.  So given enough time with an adorable couple such as Melissa and Albert, the result will be gorgeous romantic images of the wedding day.  Here are a few photographs from when we wandered around finding romantic spots as settings.

Part of what makes my work as a wedding photographer interesting, are the fascinating glimpses into other cultures.  According to Melissa’s Filipino heritage, there are certain symbolic traditions during the wedding ceremony that are adhered to, such as the cord tied around the couple, and the veil placed over the couple. Much later in the day, just before the reception, Melissa slipped into a different dress, and she and Albert served tea to family members according to Chinese custom.
