Colleen & Chris – wedding – Paul S. Buck Estate / House, PA

The Paul S Buck Estate in PA, must be one of the more unique wedding locations in Philadelphia. There is a reception tent which gives a lovely view of the surrounding grounds … except on this day there was a heavy non-stop rainstorm. A monsoon of sorts. Why even mention the rain, you may well ask. Even with the disruption in plans and having to adapt, this didn’t affect Colleen and Chris’ spirits – everyone was just happy to be there to celebrate their wedding. The photos and the video-photo fusion clip will show some of this. Specifically, Colleen and Chris has my admiration and respect because they took everything in their stride and you could see that they were there to get married and have a great time. Colleen and Chris, it was a definite treat to get to know  you and work with you. Best wishes!

We did some of the romantic portrait outdoors, working under the cover of parts of the buildings on the estate. Oh, and back on the topic of the weather – I was outside getting a few wide-angle scene-setter photographs, and in one of them I managed to get a flash of lightning going off. At the same time, one of the groomsmen scurried past.
