Jacqueline & Erik – an intimate wedding day
With just their immediate family members there at Jacqueline’s parents’ home, it really was a close and intimate event. This is part of what makes it so special to do work as a wedding photographer – being invited into the midst of a family for the day, and allowed to share something so personal.
Best of all about Jacqueline and Erik … well, to call them a quirky couple would be too calm a way to describe their personalities and their dry sense of humor and how they interact with each other. The detail shots might give a glimpse of that though:
There was a loose Alice In Wonderland theme:
Jacqueline’s bouquet was unusual – a brooch bouquet. Yes, a bouquet made of metal brooches. Colorful and heavy. You’d kill a bridesmaid if you had to do the bouquet toss with that!
Appropriate to the day, Jacqueline wore a ring, sporting a blinged-out winged pig, because, well, you know, she always insisted she’d get married the day that pigs can fly. And here we are …
In keeping with the spirit of the day, I’m only sharing a few portraits here, instead of the usual representative selection of images of the wedding day.
Jacqueline and Erik, best wishes for your future together. I felt quite privileged to be invited in as your wedding photographer.
