Kristen & Theo ..

April 30, 2009

With tons of personality and lots of energy, Kristen and Theo’s engagement portrait session one of those photo shoots where it is easy to get great photos of the couple.   And this is clearly to be seen in the images here.   We also had time later on in the evening for photos for Kristen’s site as a yoga instructor

Kristen and Theo, I know we’ll have the same on your wedding day!

Kirsten’s yoga portrait session

April 29, 2009

Kristen, one of my brides whose wedding I am photographing this year, is also a yoga instructor.  When Kristen and her fiance Theo met up this weekend for their engagement portrait session, we decided to also do a photo session of Kristen to help promote her website.   The evening light at Skylands Manor was just perfect, creating a beautiful backdrop for Kristen.   (I also finally got to use some of the new on-location lighting gear I had bought last year.)

Kristen, I am still in awe of your contortionist moves!  ; )

albums, albums, albums ..

April 27, 2009

Until recently I offered a variety of albums, of which the PictoBooks Signature albums stood out as the best.  Since nearly all my couples decided on the PictoBooks as the best way to show off a collectiom of their wedding images, I decided to simplify the line of albums I carry to just one .. that’s right .. PictoBooks.  I’m therefore expanding the variety of albums offered in this line – and I just received my new sample albums.

The 11×11 PictoBooks Signature book that I still offer as the primary album, can be seen here.

Now there is also the panoramic version, a 14×11 landscape-oriented album which opens up to a truly impressive 28×11 size.  The web images here don’t quite do it justice.

The binding is of high quality, as are all of the PictoBooks albums:

The edges of the pages are also sealed, making for a durable album:

In contrast to this large coffee table display album, there is now also the Mini-Books – a miniature replica of the main album.

This mini-album is 3.5 x 3.5 and it comes in that cute presentation box.  The size will vary accordingly if it is a copy of an 14×11 album.  The Mini-Book has to be ordered at the same time as the main album.

And to give you an idea of the size of the album, here is my daughter holding the Mini-Book.  It’s perfect to carry around and show to family and friends.  Of course, the quality of printing and binding is on par with the main album, so everone will get a clear idea of what the main album looks and feels like.

For a parents’ album, there is now the 8×8 sized version of the main album.  It comes without the cameo image on the cover, but has the name and date embossed into the front.

This parent’s album can either be an exact copy of the main album with the same number of spreads, or an original design with fewer spreads.  And again, this album too boasts the same quality of printing and binding as the main album.

offering a new service ..

April 19, 2009

That’s right .. I am now extending the services I offer couples.  In addition to wedding photography, I can double up as a limo service with my red soccer-dad van.  And I get a solid thumbs-up!

On the way to the photo location, Megan and Brendan’s limo broke down along the highway.  I was following them, so I pulled over as well – Megan and Brendan just took it in their stride and we continued on to the location to meet up with their bridal for the photo session.  (The proper blog entry with a selection of images from their wedding will be up in a few days.)

And to think that some of my friends insist my red mini-van isn’t sexy.

Sara & Ted ..

April 10, 2009

I met up with Sara and Ted at Skylands Manor last week for their engagement photo session.  With the winter slowly thawing around us, it is a good time now to meet up with my 2009 couples and get to know them a little before their wedding takes place.  And so it was last weekend, with a leisurely walk, chatting to Sara and Ted.

Sara and Ted, I look forward to your wedding  which is coming up soon!
