Simone & Carl – maternity photo session

I photographed Simone and Carl’s wedding a few years back, so it was wonderful when they contacted me again to photograph them together in a maternity photo session. We started off with some photos at their home, and then went to a nearby park for more portraits of the two of them. Or, the 2.5 of them. Simone sent me an email afterwards:

Sorry for getting back to you so late. The pictures are wonderful. You did an excellent job! Thank you very much!
We finished our maternity photo shoot at around 6 PM on Sunday one week ago (Apr 28th), and an hour later, Simone’s contractions started. Our little Selina Melina was born about 9 hours later at 2.50 AM on Monday (Apr 29th). So, our timing could not have been any better. 🙂  Baby, Mom, and Dad are all doing well.

We’ll be in touch in a few months to take baby pictures.

What super-close timing in getting this maternity photo session done – an hour later Simone went into labor!

Congratulations to the two of you on your baby daughter.

Amazing to think she went into labor 9 hours after the shoot! Really beautiful photographs!

The outdoor photos were taken at the James McFaul Environmental Park in Wyckoff, NJ.
