Jenni’s Bat Mitzvah

As a photographer, it’s an interesting perspective on a family, seeing children grow up into young adult hood. I photographed Jenni’s older sister, Niki’s Bat Mitzvah a few years earlier. It is fascinating browsing through the older images from a few years back, recognizing Jenni then as a child, and now as a young woman at her own Bat Mitzvah.

Here’s a glimpse into the time around Jenni’s Bat Mitzvah – we took portraits at their home before-hand, and you can see how much fun it was working with her family again. Similarly, the party had the same kind of energy, and it shows in the photographs. The party was held at the Preakness Hills Country Club in Wayne, NJ. (Right at the end of this series of photographs are a few detail photos to show the party favors and colorful decorations.)
