Nancy & John …

Nancy and John took a break from their medical studies last weekend to get married!  After the ceremony, the reception was held at the Museum of Natural History in Manhattan, with a cocktail hour outside in the gardens and then a fabulous party to end the evening.

Nancy and John saw each other before the ceremony and I loved how the sunlight flared in this image.

.
Following the ceremony, John rang the church bell (with Nancy’s help).

.
Since the reception was held at the Museum of Natural History, it made perfect sense to have dinosaurs on the placecards

.
The cocktail hour outside in the gardens of the Museum was a long relaxed period where friends and family could catch up with each other, with the sound of a Klezmer band in the background.

.
And a few more portraits of Nancy and John, in and around parts of the Museum.

Nancy and John - best wishes, and thank you for making me part of your day.

Group of 10 unveiled

A few months ago I reported on the formation of a group of photographers that I am part of - Group of 10. Well, we’re going strong and in the process of increasing our visibility among other wedding professionals. An important step for us was getting the Group of 10 blog off the ground - and here it is - Group of 10 unveiled.

The blog is already a few posts strong, with contributions by the various members of Group of 10. We’ll continue posting on a variety of topics, hopefully revealing our strengths and the diversity within the group. So there you have it - another blog to add to your RSS feeder. ;)

Laura & Gareth …

Laura and Gareth wanted their engagement shoot down on the shore.  The early evening light was just beautiful, and while we had to work around the windy conditions, I’m very happy with the images from this session.

Laura and Gareth, I look forward to your wedding later this month.

Amanda & Michael …

As a wedding photographer, I get to attend and be a part of a lot of different traditions and cultures.  One of the most elaborate and beautiful, as well as the most uniqe, is that of the Eastern Orothodox wedding ceremony.  Amanda and Michael got married at St George’s Church in Little Falls, with the traditional customs including the exchanging of crowns.  Their reception afterwards continued to reflect their cultures and traditions with some Arabic music and dancing.

Amanda and Michael, I know you’ll love the images from your wedding as much as I enjoyed photographing your day!

Johanna & Aaron

Johanna and Aaron’s engagement session was tons of fun.  Aaron kept us all laughing during the session as we walked around in Hoboken.

Johanna and Aaron, I know we’re going to have the same amount of fun on your wedding day.
