Lindsey & Ren …

Lindsey and Ren’s wedding ceremony was on the beach in St Augustine, Florida.  And I’m simply going to let the photos stand as proof of what a beautiful day it was, and how wonderful a couple they are  … and what a fantastic day I had, photographing their wedding.

Lindsey & Ren - congratulations again, and thank you!

Michelle & Antonio …

Miami, Florida … great weather … a fantastic venue … and an incredible couple. What more could I ask as a wedding photographer?

This wasn’t quite a destination wedding, since Michelle is a resident of Miami, but it was my first time there. (Quite different from New Jersey.) The venue was the Deering Estate - which is a beautiful venue on the seafront, and it was easy to see why Michelle decided she had to have her wedding there some day.

Michelle and Antonio were a wonderful couple to photograph - and Michelle especially - I couldn’t take a bad photograph of her!

An image of the bride during the ceremony …

Michelle and Antonio .. thank you, I had a wonderful time there!

technique - flash photography and fireworks

I was recently asked by Cory Parris to submit an article to his website / blog, The Wedding Photography Project. For my entry, I decided to explain my technique in capturing this image, of a couple during a 4th of July fireworks display. This ties in with the rest of the tutorials on my Planet Neil website on flash photography techniques.

Thank you Cory, it’s quite an honour to be featured amongst the very best wedding photographers out there. :)

Liat’s Bat Mitzvah …

When I met Liat’s parents, during consultation about photographing Liat’s Bat Mitzvah, they told me how a sweet and wonderful child they have … and they were right.  Liat was a pleasure to photograph at her Bat Mitzvah party - full of energy, and with a sparkling personality.

And it also helps that the party was a lively non-stop event.

Mazel Tov, Liat!

Megan & Tony …

For their engagement portrait session, I met up with Megan and Tony at the James McFaul Park in Wyckoff, NJ. Even though the park looked wintery drab, we found found some corners where there were still some warm colour - and we still had fun taking photos. Megan & Tony, congratulations on recently attaining your degrees, and I look forward to your wedding in a few weeks’ time.
