Fall family photo session NJ – Degnan family
A family photo session on a not-too-cold Fall day in Skylands Manor, NJ with these four energetic kids … and I just love the results. You can just see the personality and energy in the photos. There are some posed photos of the kids with and without their parents … and then I allowed the kids to do their own thing. A hectic pace keeping up with 4 kids goofing around in front of the camera.
Right at the end here, I posted a photo of the portable location lighting that I use when necessary. It makes all the difference. As Annie, their mom, told me at some point, “I really loved the lighting – that was what drew me to your pictures and fabulous work to begin with!” The way that light and lighting affects the images, is definitely something that I take particular care of, without allowing it to hamper the flow of the photo session. It all has to be fun, because without the fun element, we lose the interest of any kids.

Oh my gosh, Neil, I LOVE THESE!! Not only because I’m obsessed with fall, but also because you just captured personality and life stage so well. Also, yikes!! Four kids is definitely enough to wear me out for a session (and I wouldn’t even want to think about having to keep four in my house all the time). Awesome job on these.
Neil!! What sorcery do you use to get children to be so free and fun in front of your camera! I can only imagine these parents are over the moon happy with their photos from you. I love these so much!
