Josh’s Bar Mitzvah

It’s always refreshing when I work with a family like Josh’s that have such energy and personality.  This series of images are from the  portrait session prior to Josh’s Bar Mitzvah - and I’m going to let the images  stand for themselves as an indication of how much fun it was.

.
The more traditional portraits at the bemah ..

.
Josh’s party was held at their home around their swimming pool .. and yes, a few of them did land up in the pool.

.
Josh’s friends taking part in a party version of Fear Factor involving ketchup … and well, don’t ask!

.
Josh’s party also extended into a trip to Fenway, Boston two weeks later when Josh and a group of friends went to see the Red Sox in action.  (This part of the photo session was covered by my friend Stacey Doyle.)

Thank you Josh, Rachel, Risa and Howard - it was a blast working with you!

Rachel’s Bat Mitzvah

Rachel is a sweet and charming young woman and it was my pleasure to photograph her at her Bat Mitzvah party this past weekend. (The party was held at the Alpine Country Club here in New Jersey.)

Abbey’s Bat Mitzvah

I recently had the privilege of photographing Abbey’s Bat Mitzvah. It was a real pleasure, because Abbey is one of the most delightful young women I’ve photographed.  Mazel Tov, Abbey!

.
The following images are from Abbey’s Bat Mitvah party which was held at Nyack seaport, NY.
The candle-lighting …

.
The hectic party …

.
After the party, when the guests had left, I spent some time with Abbey taking a few more portraits.

.
And finally, Abbey and her mom, Susan, spending a quiet moment together on the bank of the Hudson River.

Liat’s Bat Mitzvah …

When I met Liat’s parents, during consultation about photographing Liat’s Bat Mitzvah, they told me how a sweet and wonderful child they have … and they were right.  Liat was a pleasure to photograph at her Bat Mitzvah party - full of energy, and with a sparkling personality.

And it also helps that the party was a lively non-stop event.

Mazel Tov, Liat!
