Stacy & Andrew’s wedding – Florentine Gardens

August 31, 2009

Stacy and Andrew’s wedding was a glamorous event at the Florentine Gardens.  With beautiful gardens and ballroom, this prestigious venue was the perfect backdrop for such a stylish couple.

.
One of my favourite images from earlier on in the day, is this glimpse of Stacy during her preparation.

Irresistable!

Stacy, our drop-dead gorgeous bride ..

A hello kiss from the little flowergirl ..

Stacy’s mom and grandmother and family members awaiting Stacy’s approach down the aisle ..

… and finally, the reception kicked into full gear with the party.

Stacy and Andrew, it was a pleasure working with you as your wedding photographer.  Best wishes for your future!

Erin & John’s wedding

August 27, 2009

From Erin and John’s engagement session already, I anticipated their wedding to be an exciting one …. and you can already see it hinted at in their smiles during their respective preparations …

wedding at Brooklake Country Club

Erin and John saw each other before the wedding ceremony, and we had the gorgeous surroundings of the Brooklake country club for the portrait session.  Fortunately we had beautiful light and enough time before the the looming thunderstorms passed.  And speaking of gorgeous ..

Erin and John were totally adorable and fun to photograph ..

 .
Due to the approaching thunderstorms, the decision was made to hold the ceremony indoors at the Brooklake.  I loved John’s expression as he watched Erin and her dad approach down the aisle.

My favourite shot of the day – Erin’s look as she placed the ring on John’s finger during the ceremony.

.
From the reception – Erin and her dad dancing.

After the sweet moments of the parents’ dances, the party kicked in full time ..

.. music provided by the seasoned group of musos – The Infernos.

John and Erin also joined in on vocal duties with the band.

Erin and John, congrats and best wishes!

Ashley & Freddy

August 21, 2009

Ashley and Freddy’s wedding was just heaps of fun to photograph.   They and their bridal party and families were energetic and spirited .. and Freddy, well, am I allowed to call a groom a bit of a clown and get away with it?   I’ll show some evidence in the next few images .. but first, a radiant Ashley outside her home just after hopping into her dress ..

.
Ashley’s excitement is so obvious as she  and her dad walk down the aisle.

.
This little flowergirl’s glee at getting to hold the bride’s bouquet is just priceless!

And here’s the evidence .. when Ashley and her bridesmaids were cracking up at ‘Voguing’ for the camera, Freddy had to get in on the act as well ..

I rest my case.  ; )

.. and possibly my best bouquet toss photo ever.

Ashley and Freddy, thank you!   I had a blast as your wedding photographer.

Colette & Chris

August 16, 2009

Rockleigh Country Club wedding

Colette and Chris’ wedding ceremony and reception was held at the Rockleigh Country Club.  The venue was just perfect for a wedding day where friends and family could meet up again .. and the atmosphere the entire day was relaxed and convivial.

From earlier the day during Colette’s prep:
This was a first for me … the ring-bearer getting into the act, helping the bride getting her shoes on.

.
I love how clearly Chris’ anticipation showed here during the First Look …

 .
A very determined little flowergirl, going it on her own .. for a short while ..

.
Chris and Colette doing a quick rehearsal of their first dance, before guests enter the ballroom ..

.
The lighting effects in this ballroom made life so much easier for me as a wedding photographer .. everything was bathed in deep colour from the lights, giving a wonderful backdrop to the reception and party ..

Colette and Chris .. congrats!  And a thank you .. I had a great time at your wedding.

Milene & Don ..

August 14, 2009

For Milene and Don’s engagement portrait session, we decided on doing the photo session at Fairleigh Dickinson University (NJ), since that is where they had met the first time.  As a photographer it is always more interesting to explore the area without preconceived ideas, and find interesting spots and angles … allowing me to give the couple images which are unique to them.

Milene and Don, I had a great time during the photo session .. we’ll do the same again soon at your wedding!
