Sara & Ted’s wedding at Lake Valhalla Club, NJ
The scenic setting of the lake area was the backdrop for Sara and Ted’s outdoor ceremony at the Lake Valhalla Club. And it was certainly a beautiful setting for the portraits of the newly-wed couple and their families and the bridal party. This also meant the afternoon and evening turned into a leisurely get-together for friends and family as they lingered outside.

Francesca and Stephan met the first time at this restaurant in Hoboken .. so this is where we started with the engagement photo session. And from there on meandered down to the Hoboken waterfront, chatting and looking for cool spots and beautiful light.

When a couple has so much energy and enthusiasm during their engagement session, and are so adorable together, you just know that photographing their wedding will be fun to photograph. Erin and John – I know we’ll have a great time on your wedding day as well.

The couples whose weddings I photograph, are often friends or family of previous brides – but I met up with Lauren and Michael in an unusual way. A few years ago, I helped Lauren’s dad, Joel, figure out some lighting problems in his consulting rooms, and we kept contact since then. When Lauren and Michael became engaged, Joel contacted me to photograph his daughter’s wedding – a high compliment to me.
So I met up with Michael and Lauren recently for their engagement photo session - and this is exactly why I like these photo sessions so much. It gives me the opportunity and time to get to know my couple in a relaxed fun setting before their wedding day.
Lauren and Michael .. see you again in a few weeks. I look forward to it! : )

I met up with Stacy & Andrew at Lambert’s Castle, for their engagement session. I love doing these photo sessions since I get to meet my couples before their wedding date, and in a fun relaxed way set the tone for their wedding day portraits – a playful yet romantic style of photography.
