Dawn & Brian - Las Vegas wedding

Most people don’t think of water and palm trees when they think of Las Vegas - but rather lights, glamour and glitz.  But Brian and Dawn’s wedding was a more laidback affair held at the beautiful grounds of the the  Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort - a romantic wedding destination.   Around 90 of Brian and Dawn’s family and friends had flown in from around the country for their wedding.

Of course, as a wedding photographer, it is particularly thrilling for me to shoot outside of my usual New Jersey / New York areas, and visit exotic or fun locations such as Las Vegas.

.
From much earlier in the day, while Dawn was having her hair done …

.
The ceremony and reception were held at the resort’s beautiful grounds overlooking Lake Las Vegas.

.
Dawn and Brian’s first dance …

.
Of course .. Elvis!  What did you expect?  This is Las Vegas.

.
After the party, we all went to this famous landmark, visible to anyone driving down towards the Strip.  Here is everyone - family and friends - who attended Dawn and Brian’s wedding.

Brian and Dawn, thank you!  I had a fantastic time.  Congrats and best wishes.

Great photos. I’m wondering about the lighting for the second photo - B&G and wedding party walking to camera with sun in background. How did you get so much light on their faces? Was it just reflected from the walkway or what? Too far away to use flash it would seem.

    thanks.

    dear neil,

i just wanted to say thank you for the exquisite moments in time that you and your daughter captured during dawn and brian’s wedding. your work as well as janine’s are just, well, breathtaking. as a creative memories consultant ( the premier memory preservation company aka scrapbooking) i am always reminding people that their photos are truly worth a thousand words and are indeed moments in time. they tell a story, and if the moment was important enough to photograph then it must be a memory worth keeping.

to say i appreciate your work and comment on your blog would be an understatement! i can’t wait to see all the proofs and have already informed my cousin that i may want to purchase a few for my own album! again, thank you for capturing her wedding day and vegas fun as well, them! their personas resonate from the pictures. they are beautiful!

    sincerely,
    cousin lisa
