Nicole & Pete …

With Nicole and Pete’s engagement session I already realised that Nicole had a strong sense of style, and of what she wanted with the photography of her wedding.  And because of this, Nicole and Pete’s wedding was one of the most enjoyable events that I photographed this year.

For the portrait session after the church ceremony, we went to downtown Montclair - the early evening light and Christmas decorations making the urban setting a gorgeous backdrop for the photographs.

.
This image is from earlier in the day when Nicole arrived at the church.  (It was taken by Elisabeth Millay, who worked with me as my 2nd photographer on the day.)

Pete’s expression as Nicole approaches down the aisle with her dad …

There is this moment during Mass when all the guest’s attention are elsewhere, when I know that the couple will lean closer to whisper to each other ..

.
The details of the reception were simply wonderful …

Nicole was serenaded by her sorority sisters ..

.. and a party that ran deep into the night.  :)

Nicole and Pete, thank you - it was a real pleasure working with  the two of you.

Rachel & David …

I first met Rachel when I photographed her sister Leah’s wedding a few years ago.   So it was especially exciting to me to be asked to photograph Rachel and David’s wedding in November of this year.  When I photographed their engagement session, I got to meet David for the first time and see what a truly wonderful couple they are!

And here is Leah helping Rachel getting dressed …

.
Leah’s son, Ryan, was the ring-bearer.

.
The ketubah was a design created by David.

Rachel’s dad handing her over to the groom.

.
Before Rachel and David proceed’s up the aisle, she couldn’t resist cleaning off a smudge of lipstick from David’s cheek where his mom kissed him before the ceremony.

.
Rachel cracking up with laughter when David fluffed breaking the glass with the first stomp.

.
A big thank you to Scott Bush who helped me out as my 2nd photographer on this day.
This next image was taken by Scott.

Rachel and David, it was wonderful working with the two of you on your wedding day.  Congratulations and best wishes.

Tricia & Bill …

Tricia and Bill celebrated their wedding, surrounded by friends and family, on a vivid fall day.  Thank you Tricia and Bill, it was a real pleasure to photograph the two of you on your wedding day.

.
From earlier on, during Tricia’s preparation ..

A cute moment when this little flowergirl was distracted while walking down the aisle ..

The party was cooking …

.. finally peaking with an amped-up version of Springsteen’s Rosalita towards the end.  Guests spontaneously took over the vocal duties to make this an even more heart-felt rendition of the classic song.
