when the groom is a photographer …

How do you think a bride would react if the groom, who is a photographer, whipped out a camera to photograph her and her father approaching down the aisle?

I recently photographed Carla and Erik’s wedding, and Erik begged me for one of my cameras.
He hid it behind his back until Carla and her dad approached …

… so that he could photograph her reaction.
(This is one of the images that Erik took.)

Exasperation …

… and then a stern warning to “put that thing away!”.

Um .. a good start there, Erik!  ;)

Tara & Rob …

For Tara and Rob’s engagement session, we went to Skylands Manor (Ringwood, NJ), and explored the beautiful gardens there.  Tara & Rob, I look forward to your wedding day.  :)

Jessica & John …

Jessica and John’s wedding was held at The Manor in East Orange, NJ.  The gorgeous grounds and interior of the venue complemented the events of the day.  And throughout the day their real affection for each other shone through.

The image at the top was a light-hearted reference to the series of images we took during their engagement potrait session where Jessica leaped into John’s arms.

Jessica and John - thank you, it was a wonderful experience being your photographer on your wedding day. Best wishes for your future together.

Kelly & Andy …

Kelly and Andy’s wedding truly reflected their personal styles. Elegant and under-stated, the Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center (here in New Jersey), was the perfect venue for their wedding day.

From earlier in the day - Kelly peering through the window to see if Andy and the groomsmen have arrived yet in the garden where the ceremony will be held.
(This image is by Jose Reyes who was my 2nd photographer for this wedding.)

Kelly and Andy, it was a joy to photograph your wedding. Congratulations.
