Alli & Colin …

The setting for Alli and Colin’s wedding on Saturday (Oct 7th), was the rustic Walpack Inn, in a beautiful wooded part of a national park in New Jersey. With the Fall colours starting to show, it was a perfect setting for the outdoor ceremony …

.
The musical accompaniment was a match …

.
The entire day had this relaxed congenial atmosphere as friends and family mixed. But here’s the contradiction - as laid-back as Alli and Colin seem, Alli especially is a non-stop ball of energy … and I can just hope my photos of the day show some of this.

Alli and Colin - thank you. Meeting and working with the two of you has been a memorable experience.

Patrizia & Alex …

Patrizia’s excitement on her wedding day was infectious - and everyone at the house and onwards got caught up in this. But for all that, my favourite photograph of the day is this quiet reflective moment in the minutes before Patrizia left the limo for the church entrance …

And later on with the portrait session, it was clear that Alex had the same enthusiasm and you could see how in love Alex and Patrizia are.

And a final image … who can resist an adorable flowergirl ?

Patrizia and Alex - congratulations!  I had a great time photographing your wedding.

wedding photographer’s handbook …

Bill Hurter, who is a well-known author of photography books, asked me earlier this year to rewrite my web article on raw workflow, for an upcoming book of his.

The book is the Wedding Photographer’s Handbook, and has just been published by Amherst Media. It is a stunning book, featuring photographs and articles by photographers who are among the very best in the industry. So it is a thrill to have my name and images appear alongside them in such a fine book.
