Laura & Gareth - a beach wedding

Laura and Gareth wedding was as unique as their relationship.  Gareth is from New Zealand, Laura is from New Jersey, they met here in the States as snowboard instructors, and now they’re living in Hawaii.  Their entire day was reflective of their lifestyle,  and filled with the love of their family and friends.  Gareth’s family and some friends flew up specially from New Zealand to attend their wedding.

Beach ceremonies are fun!

The wedding reception was at Laura’s parents’ beach home, elegantly decorated for the occasion:

Laura and Gareth, thank you for having me as part of your wedding day, and best wishes for your future together.

Tara & Rob …

Even the craziest weather (from torrential downpour to sunshine) on the day, didn’t affect how beautiful Tara and Rob’s wedding was.  The stormy weather let us take advantage of the beautiful interior of her dad’s house for the initial portraits. Their church wedding was followed by a reception full of personal touches and traditions at Meadow Wood Manor in Randolph, NJ.

Tara’s expression says it all during this glimpse at each other during the ceremony.
(This photo was taken by Elisabeth Millay, who worked with me on the day.)

.
The theme for the cocktail hour was quite unusual - it was that of a 50’s malt shop, down to hot dogs and sundaes being served.

Always a touching moment, the bride and her dad during the First Dance ..

Tara and Rob, thank you for being so amazing to work with.  Congrats and best wishes!

Melissa & Albert

Melissa and Albert also chose an urban setting for their engagement session; so we met up in downtown Hoboken on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and explored a little of the area there, looking for colourful nooks.

Melissa and Albert, I look forward to photographing your wedding!

Rinat & Howie …

I caught up with Rinat and Howie for their engagement photo session on a beautiful bright day in a nearby park.  Our previous attempts at us getting together for their engagement portraits had rained out, but this time worked out just perfectly.

Rinat and Howie, see you soon at your wedding!

Monica & Tim …

Monica and Tim are a super sweet couple and I had a great time working with them as their wedding photographer. For their portrait session, we went to Lambert Castle, a well-known spot here in northern New Jersey. We had barely started with the photographs outside when it started to rain, but fortunately Monica had the foresight to book time for us inside the museum at Lambert’s, where we continued with the photographs.

From earlier the day, a portrait of Monica after she finished preparation …

I just love the expressions on Monica and Tim’s faces as they exchange their vows …

Monika Broz helped me out as my 2nd photographer on the day.

And some images from the reception later the evening …

Monica and Tim, congratulations and best wishes!
