It is always a pleasure to meet up again with couples whose wedding I photographed – especially when there is a new addition to the family.
I helped another photograher, JC Carley, to photograph Hallie and Michael’s wedding in 2004 – and so it was a real treat last week, to get to meet Ava - Hallie and Michael’s baby daughter …

And here is a slideshow of images of Ava.

What an amazing journey! When I watched the first portion of the slideshow, I thought to myself, “Uh-Oh, frozen baby syndrome. But to watch the child warm up to a stranger in her environment was a real treat. I am surprised at how emotionally charged the photographs of this child reacting to and reaching for bubbles were. Maybe it is part of being a father of two teenagers and being a little further down the road of parenthood, seeing the archetypical baby reaching forward. But it was definitely a heartfelt reaction. That followed by the child leaning forward into her father – whew, what moments. Oh, and the photography was stunning… Thanks for giving me a peek into a very fruitful session, Neil.
