Thank you for your kind words in the other posting as well.

As for the umbrellas, they are thin umbrellas which can either be used as shoot-through umbrellas, or as reflective umbrellas (which will lose some of the strobe&#039;s light by letting it pass through.

So the intention there was to just flood with place with light from the high-mounted strobes.  Some of the light will go through the umbrella - and some of the light will be reflected and bounce from the wall. There was no real science to it - just the intention to flood the venue with light from the various strobes.
